Most of the individuals in jail have committed crimes that are despicable, whether intentionally or unintentionally. In this paper, the focus is on whether leaders found guilty of charity fraud should be jailed or officials meet and come up with a plan to resolve the disputes. There are many charity projects in the country to support people who are unable to cater for their needs. Some individuals are sick, others are poor and most of them lack a place to call home. Some leaders take the opportunity and ask the public and other organizations, both governmental and NGOs, to contribute any amount they can so that the funds could be allocated to helps the people in need. It is a good thing to do, although some leaders take advantage of the situations and collect the money, only to use it for their personal needs. According to me, jail is better than a settlement. We can consider a person who collects money from all corners of the country in the name of helping patients suffering from cancer. The disease is dangerous and afraid by almost half of the country. It is a killer disease that leaves the members of the family bankrupts and suffering. Helping the needy is a good thing, and is practiced by various institutions like churches and the well-wisher's groups (Angelo, Arizona Brian, 2018). The government also contributes the money, and politicians together with their political parties are not let behind. It, therefore, means that the funds collected for the project are able to change someone’s life, by ensuring that cancer patients do not die, and if they do, their families receive appropriate support. When a leader takes the money and uses it for his or her personal issues, it means that people will die and family members will suffer. Although there is no match equivalent to life, a long jail term for such people will give the family members a peace of mind as they will be proud of the justice deed. It will also serve as a warning to other leaders who plan on illegally using charity projects to attain and accumulate wealth. In the case above, when settlement is used to resolve the disputes, it means that the criminals will be asked to pay fines and return the money they stole.
